My name is Marc. Founder, creator and contributor to this site.
The site exist solely as a creative outlet for me to journal my various thoughts, hobbies, activities and projects.
I’ve attempted a project such as this many times over the last 20 years or so, however, those attempts have barely seen the light of day outside of purchasing some web space and a domain name.
Though sparse at the moment, this is actually progress.
Why Kicking Stones?
Well, kicking stones is one of those things that people do absentmindedly whilst walking down the street, usually in some kind of deep thought spiral about something.
The posts presented on this site is the metaphorical gravel which is kicked around in my brain whilst I am in deep thought.
Putting it down here will help to de-clutter my brain.
That’s my story and I’m sticking with it.
Content?
In essence, this website is for me.
It’s deeply personal and the content of the site will reflect that, but some of the things I plan to write about are childhood, nostalgia, video games, music, literature, scale modelling, guitars….plus whatever comes to mind.
Basically, the things I like.
Back before the web was the multimedia juggernaut that it is today, I used to really enjoy reading sites like x-entertainment and poprocks and coke.
Sadly, both are now consigned to the history books, but I really enjoyed those guys approaches to writing about things they loved, so I could say the things I write about will be somewhat inspired (READ: Ripped Off) from them.
If anybody sees this, I hope you enjoy my disjointed ramblings.
If not, then you’ll not see this anyway.
